"This historical in tribute to those who came before use and to the Great American Heritage of freedom to work hard and live. We thank God for the strenght and courage that He gave to every man and woman who came before us and pioneered in the building of homes, schools, churchs, towns, and farms. We are grateful to the builders of the railroads that brought an exchange of goods and services, to the diggers of wells that supplied water for thirsty people and animals after long days of sweat and toil, to the tillers of the soil who first laid over that virgin sod and caused it to produce food for man and beasts of burden, and to the mothers who bore the sons and daughters and who molded the family living. Our life, our goal, our dream should be to carry on with the task of the time, ever building and working, and to leave to the men and women of the future a rich American Heritage of problems to solve and work to be done."
