Clyde Bradley Gilman family history

I am a descendent of Clyde Bradley Gilman, and am searching for any information regarding
his father, John Blin Gilman. He seems to have been a resident of either Lyman County or Brule
County, in or around Chamberlain, SD. John's wife was Alice Olivia (Miller) Gilman who owned
property in Chamberlain. Their children were: Vera Emily, Clyde Bradly (my gf.), William, John
Blin Jr., and Roy. Vera and Clyde were born in Iowa, while William, John Jr. and Roy were
born in Smith Center, KS.

Please any help would be nice regarding the histories of the above persons especially regarding John Blin Gilman Sr. He died in 1916 in Utah.   Sonnie Nelson

There is an article about Clyde's family in "Brief History of Lyman Co., 1888-1906," by Lyman
Co. Historical Society, 1968, repr. 1974. The  photo of Clyde B. GILMAN and Helen Gunelie
HALVERSON shows a handsome young couple. Clyde B. GILMAN (24 Jan. 1873, Osage, IA -
16 Mar. 1960, Chamberlain, Brule Co., SD);  m. 25 Dec. 1900, Brule Co., Helen G. HALVERSON,
 b. 16 Dec. 1882, Spring Valley, SD. She was confirmed at the
Earling Lutheran Church. Child-
ren: Iva, m. Gilbert HOFFERT; Vera, m. Oscar GARNOS; Alice, m. Harrell EVERETT;
Walter; Norma, m. Orval SHANHOLTZ; Twyla, m. Joseph ARNSBERG; Wendell; Maxine, m.
Dale KOCH,  and  Darrell.

About 1874, the GILMAN family moved to what is now Culver City, KS. About 1880, they moved
to Clear Lake, IA. They moved to
Lyman Co. about 1888.
