From Zeke King  Knights of Columbus  War activities  Camp Dix, New Jersey

                              August 28, 1918

Dear friend George,

Just a few lines to let you know we are still alive and ready and waiting to get over and are near at hand for the next go-over. They are taking over a bunch of good men, but none as good as the ones who left Reliance and I sure would like to see them when we get over there.

We sure enjoy our new camp for the are trees and lakes around here and it is a great summer resort. Everything is old-fashion English style, and you see some of the most beautiful lakes and streams.

Tell Mr. Dirks we sure thank him for the present of The Record, for we enjoy getting our hometown news.

We are 40 miles from the coast and 20 miles from Philadelphia and several other big cities such as Trenton and Newark.

Give the boys my best regards,

Your friend,
Corp. Joseph M. King
