Timothy List Tues Mar 31 21:27 1998 Hi, found
this page relating to Yankton as I'm researching information on
my great-great grandfather "Jens P.P. List". He was born in 1846 in Denmark and
moved to Yankton County around 1860-70"s. He died in 1927 and owned a number of farms
in Yankton County and properties in Yankton. I have not
been able to find any information on his father or any previous generation and any help or
advice on resources you might recommend would be a great help.....Thanks

May 10 21:38 1997 In 1881 Otto Nicholas BYE and his wife Ragnild BYE came to join siblings
Sarah and Ole KJELDSETH from Norway who had come to Yankton, South Dakota in 1870. Through
some kind assistance from people in Norway, I have a goodly amount of research on these
families. Some names that have married into these lines include Gieger Olsen LUND, Thomas
Schultz Moore I am aware that thier are still Cousins of mine in the Gayville area and
that there is likely to be others that I do not know about. I would be happy to share my
windfalls with others. I haven't gotten so far as to get a web page for family history so
any queries need to be addressed to be and should include either the Bye or Kjeldseth name
in the subject line.
